DAY 1

This morning I had a "work" breakfast with a lovely art buyer I was working with, she is heading back to school for a 2 years master, and leaving town! We decided to say goodbye with a nice breakfast, and headed to "Le pain quotidien", it's not far from my office, and can be pretty healthy.

On the way, on my bike, I was hesitating between the steel cut oatmeal with berries, or the soft boiled eggs with spelt bread... She ordered the oatmeal, motivated me, I did too! with Coffee and skim milk

GREAT start, 250 calories!

At 11.30am, little hungry, and before heading to a shoot, I made myself a tartine on spelt bread with peanut butter and a tea spoon of honey, 200 calories!

Back from the shoot, and before my afternoon meetings, I got a bag of arugala salad, roasted chicken breast, made myself a salad, simple vinaigrette, a piece of bread and between 1 and 2 table spoon of humus,
1 peach for desert,
About 400 calories for all of this!

few coffees with skim milk here and there, my calories tracker indicates I am allowed to 347 calories more, before exercising!

Pretty good, it is now 5.45pm, not hungry at all, I will be heading soon to the gym!
this should shed about 250-300 calories!

All of this allowing to have a nice dinner with my lovely girlfriends tonight!!!

bottom line the oatmeal is really a good way to start, small calories!

The official START!

So this is it!
Finally I have decided that enough is enough!

I moved to NYC about 5 years ago, and gained 10pounds which seems about normal, except it is not! And most importantly, it's not pretty!
After a few years of try out, diets, gym, and all of those things... I did stop eating Gluten as much as possible and wheat completely about 2,5 years ago, already this change made a big difference!

But really what happened is I was in LA with one of my artist, a french photographer, I am a photo agent, and we were both talking about nutrition, both expert after our move here, discussed the quality of the food, the quantity in the plate, the occasional or regular drinks and dinners out, and the laziness... that causes a no show at our gym.

I have in the past been a member in 3 different gyms, 1 I loved but ended up being to far from my new flat, and I have just joined the ONE in my area... Obviously like anything with no competition, minimum effort, but this will do it!

My goal now, the skinny leather pants
the weight goal, 10 pounds
-2 sizes
and losing the not cute fat on my belly and thighs !

I have just started going back to the gym, heading to the treadmill, the bike, Pilates Mat class...
I am using a calories tracker on my cell phone, which I can't leave without! the tracker says I can not go over 1200 calories a day, reason why you need to be active!!!
I have the support of my wonderful boyfriend, so lets go now!

I will try to write down all I eat, all I do, all I drink :(
and hopefully I will be able to lose the pounds in the next couple of months! that would be fantastic!!!!


If I have no readers at all it's alright because I am documenting this for myself, making sure I wont cheat!
